Nestled on 1.5 acres of peaceful forest, Back to the Forrest is a cozy log cabin with a meaningful story. Inspired by an iconic 80s movie, its name also honors WWII veteran Forrest Doolittle. With two comfortable bedrooms, a bunkroom loft area, and two and a half bathrooms, the cabin perfectly blends relaxation and fun. Whether you're cooking in the fully stocked kitchen or heading upstairs to the loft for a game night with foosball, arcade games, and a 55” Smart TV, every detail is designed to make your stay memorable—including a Coffee and Whiskey Bar for added indulgence.

The outdoor space is just as inviting, featuring a swing bed for quiet afternoons, a bubbling hot tub for unwinding, and a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs for evenings under the stars. Kids will love the handcrafted swings, adding a touch of playful charm to the setting. After a full day out exploring, return to the cabin to soak in the hot tub or gather around the fire pit for s'mores as the cool night air settles in. From your morning coffee on the porch to peaceful moments soaking in forest views, this cabin strikes the perfect balance between indoor comfort and outdoor serenity.

The MAIN HOUSE is equipped with 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a bunkroom/gameroom, and family room.

BUNKROOM/LOFT: Two bunk beds, one twin over full and one full over twin trundle (2 twins, 2 fulls)

GAME ROOM - Upstairs is a mini-arcade, foosball table, gaming table, and 55" SmartTV to watch all your favorite games and to keep those family game nights exciting!

KITCHEN - The kitchen in the main house is fully stocked with everything Grandma needs to make Thanksgiving dinner and then some, including a Whiskey and Coffee Bar.

OUTDOOR LIVING - The perfect place to sit back, relax and take in the majestic forest views while sipping a cup of Joe from the Coffee Bar as the sun rises.

SWING BED - A wooden swing bed is under our covered porch and is a great place to grab a book or take a midday nap.

HOT TUB - A six-person hot tub is located just outside the on the back deck.

FIREPIT - Six seat fire pit is located at the bottom of the grand stone walkway, surrounded by Adirondack chairs. The perfect way to cap off a long day on the Mountain Fork River or hiking in the woods. 

SWINGS - Two hand built wooden swings for the kids to swing til their hearts are content.
